Companies have invested massively in data, BI, and AI. And yet they still can't reliably answer the most basic question: what is happening in my business right now? Context is fragmented across systems, people, and code. It doesn't exist as a system.
For the first time, it's solvable
Three shifts have converged: the explosion of digitized operational data, LLMs as a flexible interpretation layer, and mature infrastructure to maintain state at scale. What used to require years of internal engineering can now be adopted as a system.
Whoever defines the category, leads it
The market has no explicit demand for Context Engines because it doesn't know it needs them yet. That's not an obstacle — it's the opportunity. Databases had no demand in 1970. The cloud didn't either in 2005. Both became universal critical infrastructure.
Every company that tries to scale AI or automation will hit the same limit: the lack of context. The Context Engine is not an improvement to the stack — it's the layer that makes the stack work.
