The aim of pombo tokens is to provide a better way of managing, preserving the transparency and traceability of the pro bono hours a foundation receives, donated by certain clients/collaborators and executed by lawyers.
The emission of Pombos -Tokens representing the rights to pro bono hours of Gómez-Acebo & Pombo's lawyers - was issued on 15 October 2019.
The first issue consisted of a total of three hundred and fifty (350) Pombos, each of which grants the right to allocate one hour of pro bono lawyer's work (chosen from among a group of Gómez-Acebo & Pombo's lawyers) to the Fundación Fernando Pombo project selected by the purchaser.
The pro bono hours assigned to each project shall be managed by the Foundation, which, depending on the specific needs, shall request from Gómez-Acebo & Pombo the profiles of the lawyers required for the success of the project.
From the very beginning, our team was committed to the project and worked side by side with both the foundation and the firm to consult on the project requirements, detailing milestones and establishing priorities.
Once the requirements were clear, the token platform was developed to accommodate the association, the collaborators and the firm. This platform uses Stellar's public Blockchain to track all donations and the legal workflow that is provided.
On 15 October 2019, the live broadcast took place at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo's office and it can be audited that the transactions occurred on that day and time.
The project has been a success and the firm is considering making successive broadcasts or creating a generic platform for this type of project.
From our company, we approach the project from the point of view of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to try to improve the society in which we live.
